So - (12-28-09)

This is one of my favorites...  Too funny!

Yesterday Jeff & I cleaned cleaned cleaned this house!!!  Some major cleaning we do when all the kids are gone - too hard to do it with them always right there! LoL
When we were done we had to go get a few walmart neccessities - then we came home and had dinner & got in bed to watch tv.  We were both asleep by 8ish.  AND we were both up at 2am not able to sleep!!!!!!  UGH!!!!  So I got out my painting magazines/books & got made some plans for painting some things - we had some coffee - watched some Hogan Knows Best or whatever it is called - laughed at the rapping commercials for the ShamWow & some chopper thing - then fell back asleep after 6 & back up at around 7:30!!!
Who does that - ok mom we know you do - that must be it - this nut didn't fall far from the tree!!!!!!!
LoL
We both are working today - and tonight we are going to go eat at Red Lobster - Heath (Jeff's brother in law) came back from Amarillo with gifts from his mom - gift cards!  One for Reb Lobster, 2 Applebees, 1 Bass Pro & one that can be used at Red Lobster or Olive Garden.  I love Red Lobster but don't eat there  because of the prices!!!  UMMMMM - cheddar biscuits!!!!!!  I will not be eating today - save all that room for biscuits!!!!
Dad is signing his lease for his apartment at 11 - YEA!!!!
Love you all - Vaness

Sounds about like the crazy crap I have been doing. I never go to sleep by 8 but I am always staying up until 2 or 3 am and sleeping half the day away. Yesterday, I slept till 10 then was back asleep at noon until about 230. Last night I took a sleeping pill so I could get to sleep at a decent hour. I was asleep before 10 but up at 730. I gotta tell ya something, I dont feel like I miss out on anything by sleeping late. Although, I have to get back into a routine. One week from today and I go back to work at a normal job again. UGG. I am looking forward to seeing everyone again and working again, just not getting up at 5 am.

I personally hate sleeping late - it makes me feel like I have lost a whole day!  We are always up early - between 6 & 7 everyday.  I don't mind it - we go to bed anywhere from 9 to 11 usually.

Oh you girls!  I'm so busy this morning that I haven't read any of these emails - but I'm anticipating Sister or Hedder doing something really embarrassing that will continue to live on in infamy!

keep anticipating - it is not going to happen or at least won't be told!!!!!

Well Leslie, I have a pretty innocent day planned. We are getting ready to head out and pick up a cell phone for Jim's mom. Then we are going to run by the nursing home and drop it off to her along with her other Christmas gifts. Since we had the snow storm of the century here, she didn't get to come over for Christmas. I figure, as long as I don't hold my bladder for to long, it should be a pretty normal day.

Hedder said the same thing, she will never tell....Les, what do you think about that! Looks like you and I are the only ones that in it for fun. I still believe their day will come when least expected and we will be unmerciful. Love you all

Why would you not share with us?!?!  We share with you!

Yea, you tell em Les!

Ummm safety in silence!!!!
LoL

Oh well - I might tell - but the thing is that I don't do embarrassing things!  LoL - takes a lot actually to embarrass me!
Mom - how are the cocks & their chicks???
LoL - sorry - but it is funny!!!!!

Girls, not sure what makes me feel compelled to tell you this but I am horny this morning.

Ok I am laughing my hiney off now - maybe the cock comment came at the wrong time!!!!!!!!

I read mom's before I read your's.  Oh too funny!

She must have been reading my mind. I wrote it before I got hers.

I think it has do with the beauty of the snow. It is romantic.

You said horny - not romantic!

How can you find this COLD, DIRTY snow, romantic?

That's true, big different. Don't know what I was thinking. Just give me a few minutes and it will pass.

LMAO... This just got really interesting! Tilda, surely you havent been in the nature shower!! I know what I should have gotten you for Christmas! I should have shopped at Christy's Toy Box

Good thing you didn't, already have one.

Ahahahahahaha!!

Tilda- I am not sure why you actually send that stuff in email. You know, if it gets to interesting, Leslie is posting it on her blog!

Wow - I got in the shower & this conversation got deeper without ME involved!!!
Mom - we watched a movie not to long ago - the new term for masturbation - don't know why I am compelled to tell you this (LoL) - is flicking the bean!
And as far as already having one - the commercials around here for Christie's Toy Box says they are doing a Cash For Clunkers promotion - bring your old one in for a new one!!!  Now this makes me extremely happy not to be working THERE!!!!  Can you imagine being the ONE that is at the counter with the 'clunkers' are handed over??????   Now that should be on that show 'Dirtiest Jobs'!!!!!!!!!

Yes Heather - I do see a new blog entry coming up!!!!!!

I am laughing my butt of and my whole family is wanting to know what is so funny.

I have to laugh at these at work!  My co-workers think I'm NUTS!
Although, (as we often say) the nut doesn't fall far from the tree.

don't you love those conversations that make you laugh out loud & people are around & you know you just CAN'T tell them - but there is no stopping the laughter!!!
Mom got quiet - maybe she is flicking!

I was just thinking the same thing! She did get awfully quiet.

Trade it in, oh no....it would like loosing a long time friend. One that has always been there for you, no matter what time. Makes you feel better without telling you what a butt you are, etc. Actually makes you feel better without saying a word. And the best part, its done when you are.

AND... it doesnt make a mess.

Thats IT - I am getting an IPhone so I can keep up when I am away from home!!!!!  I won't get embarrassed though - people already know I am crazy & say what comes to mind so nothing shocks them anymore!

Don't you tell them Heather!!!

Vanessa!!!

I can actually hear mom saying that!!!!!!!!!!

Heather! You all need to get your head out of the gutter

My goodness I sure have missed you girls the last couple of days!

Our mind is in the gutter because you put it there!! I think you are the one that started the conversation onto this track. Let me remind you....

I almost forgot!!
Shelby's ACT score increased one more point this time. Her scores came out this morning!

Yea, what is it now?
Isn't that all she needed to get a full ride?

No, well, maybe... Depends on what school she goes to. She got a 25 this time. At SWOSU a 28 will get her a full ride. The ting is, she isnt applying for a school scholarship. She is applying for a state funded scholarship. The requirements are different. I dont think she has anything to worry about.

Mom?

Yes dear?

Way to go Shelby!
I have to be at work in an hour & just got out of the shower so I need to get ready for work.  I am sure I won't be able to resist checking my emails several times before I leave though!
If I don't - you all know you made me smile today - I am sure the smile will be there all day!  Thanks!
I had intended on getting a little sewing done this morning before work but playing with you all was more fun!
YOu all have a great day!

Yea... I need to get my family around and get stuff done. I rushed rushed rushed them out of bed so we could get going today, then I sat down on my computer and started emailing. They are all sitting around, listening to me laugh, waiting for the sign that I am going to start moving.
I love having the kids home. Its been fun spending time with them.

I’ve been busy all morning!  Slackers…

I have had fun playing too, so you'll get busy and we will talk later. Love you all

*blank*

Did you mean to say something, Sister?

Silence is not golden, or did you forget what you was going to say? I do that all the time.

All my love,
LT

Crazy Chickens (12-27-09)

Morning everyone! I love you. I had a good laugh at my chickens this morning. I was feeling bad for them cause they have been in their coop with the tarp pulled down for two days. They have a light in there to help keep them warm and I feel better that they are not in the dark all the time. I had decided to open the door this morning to let them out even tho I worried that they were not smart enough to go back in there if once they figured out they would be under the snow. I knew come night they would go back but they could have froze to death before night. Well when I opened the door the dominate rooster came and looked out for awhile without jumping down and turned around and did some chicken talk and the other chickens didn't even come to the door. I laughed and said you are smarter than I thought. So I put food and water in the coop and pulled the tarp back down. I haven't seen my bunny, but have seen her tracks on the snow and she has eat the brocolli stocks and apples I have put out. My pond is frozen over except right in the middle where the fountain is squirting out the water. It is beautiful outside. I put some chicken feed and water out for the birds. I saw two cardinals eating. Looked like a christmas card. I miss you all and wish you was here, but know in your hearts that you are here in my heart. Momma Bear.

This made me laugh!
I am going to take the tree down today - it is pretty & I always enjoy having it up but am always soo glad to take it down.  This year I did a tree only - I didn't get out all my Christmas decorations.
Speaking of Christmas - I really missed having you all here this year - but I want to get to mom's soon.  I am going to get to mom's soon with all the kids - they really want to see grandma Till - me too!  Sister & I were talking the other day & we both agreed that we need to get together more - all of us at the same time - of course that will be easier for me than her - but I will work around her.  We want it to be at mom's house - we want mom to sit around her house & have memories there of all of us being there.  We both agreed summer is best since that is mom's favorite time of year - we could all do some fishing & carter springs - well you all can - I am not getting in that cold water!!! LoL   But do all the fun things around mom's house with her - Love you MAMMA BEAR!
Well I am going to get busy - watch the sun come up as I work in the house making it my house again!
I hope you all have a great day!
Vanessa

Yes!!! That sounds like a great plan. Let's go ahead and plan for every weekend! I have cabin fever so bad I can't stand it. I need to get outside. I watched more TV the last two days than I have all year. I've read two books, my house is spotless and my toilet is clean. I think I might get out today and shovel some snow around chicken coop so they can get out for awhile. I might even try to get out of driveway. My neighbors got stuck on christmas day trying to get out, took them about an hour to get unstuck, so I may not make it. I really missed us not being together! Leslie called and I read the "Polar Express" to her and we cried. She will NEVER outgrow that book. Come to think of it I won't either. Sounds like you plan for a productive day, I have decided I am not going to turn my TV on till at least this evening. So maybe I will find something productive to do. Love you all so very much and can't wait for those get togethers! Mommy Bear

Well I have to share my morning with my chickens. First of all my feet are frozen. I decided to leave their door open and let whatever happen, happen. I gave them cornbread, food and water in their coop. Until they got their bellies full they didn't try to come out. I had already came back to the house and looked down there and saw Maude, Lucy and Bell, my three beautiful roosters standing breast deep in snow, not moving. I watched for awhile and saw Lucy raising one foot up. I thought their feet is going to freeze so here I go. Maude and Lucy let me pick them up and put them back in the coop, and they didn't come back out. However Bell wouldn't let me pick her up. She flew away from me and got back to the coop, but not in it but under it. Everytime I would get close she would go running out in the deep snow, I would go to get her then back to the coop she would run. Finally after messing up my beautiful snow and my feet frozen from running after her for 30 minutes I said alright, stay out and freeze your feet off and came back to the house. He is not as smart as the other two!

I have decided (mother is not included in this email so DON'T tell her) that I have to paint mom a crazy chicken lady sign!!!!!   It just is something she needs hanging up on her coop or in her kitchen or something!!!!!!  Her stories this weekend decided this for me!

Lol... that's a great idea! Its very fitting.

Lmao.... too funny! I would love to see the look on her face if you sent her one of those. But, your probably right, she wouldn't hang them and I would hate for you to waste your time painting something she wouldn't even use. Although, I do think she would see the humor in them, she isn't quite as daring as you or I. I would hang it with pride!

I am actually going to make her a bunch of stuff for her house I think - things I can use as examples on etsy to sell.  I think her kitchen would be cute with some chicken/rooster theme going on!
The whole chicken thing is too cute - and she seems to love those peckers!

Awesome! She needs some stuff. You really need to come down and see her colors and what she has going on in there first. She said that Jeff told her that the pics we sent didnt really do it justice.

We are going to come that way soon!  Like next few weeks.  I may not tell her & suprise her - but then again with JC passing & her going to go help with Doris I might have to tell her!

Surely she will be letting all of us know what her plans are as far as being down there. Just play it by ear.

The start of the secret.  Hehe...

All my love,
LT

Electric Monday (12-21-09)

Good Morning All,
It appears to be a fantastic day in Muddig. The sky is clear the sun is just turning the horizon light blue and orange. The high is going to be in the 60's. I feel really good. I'm going to complete some wiring on the house today, So tonight I'll have electric light on BOTH ends of the cabin. Something you city folks take for granted. Today lets all be thankful for electricity. Every time we turn on a light today think "That's nice... ah electricity".
Ho Ho Ho
Pa

Us city folk - LoL - Yes sometimes those things that seem so small are easy to take for granted!  I think about that often.  I had a lady call the resteraunt the other night wanting to speak to a manager - so I talked with her.  Right now there are a lot of scams but I felt in my hear this one was sincere - and it was a story I intend on telling my kids on Christmas morning before we open our gifts - just to give them a little insight to what some people have or don't have.  Anyway she said she had two children - 15 yo & 17 yo - and she had become disabled this year & can't work, but her disability hasn't come through yet & she is really struggling.  She said she had documentation to prove everything she was saying - that she had been unable to give her kids anything for their birthdays & had just told them there would not be a Christmas this year either.  So she was calling to see if there was anyway we could give them a gift card so she could bring her kids in for a late birthday dinner.
Of course this pulled hard on my heart strings & I am not the kind of manager in the position to make a decision to give her this.  While I truly feel this lady was for real - I know there are a lot of yee haws out there that make it hard to trust anyone & my general manager said he couldn't do it.
This is something I can definetly share with my kids though - hopefully it will help them appreciate everything they have even more.
I am working this morning at Islamorada at 11, then tonight at Toby's at 5.  I am going to start putting my resume into some places & try to get a job with regular hours - I am really missing my family life.  Working when they are home & being home when they are working/school stinks!
Have a great Monday!
Love you all - Vanessa
(I guess I rambled on a bit didn't I?)

First thing I want to know is why I wasn't included in the original email from Papa Bear? I am feeling rejected! Thank you sis for including me. It is going to be in the 60s here also and I plan on getting outside as soon as I get home. I had to have the wood splitter back to Lawton by nine. I got all my wood split Saturday and I will not have to worry about heat (something them city folks don't worry about either, huh Papa Bear?) the rest of this winter. Love you all! Mama Bear

You were included on it - I just double checked it.
Yeah - I sleep with my window open because my apartment is so hot from all that electricity and radiator heat that we have.  It's nice!!  Although, I don't take it for granted after our heat disaster of an apartment last year...

I didn't get it. Was it my home or work address?

You were included - I just hit reply all.
It is your yahoo email -
I sometimes don't get emails when we all are corresponding until way after the fact - I will be so lost sometimes because of it!

(8 hours later...) It is 5:00 pm and I just got this! Something going on weird in cyberspace today.

Or in mama bear space...

Ha ha Leslie! You clever little bear.

All my love,
LT

Friday

with guest Papa Bear (12-18-09)

Whats the big plans for this chilly weeked?

Mornin Papa Bear, I plan on spliting wood for most of the weekend so we can stay warm on christmas day while it is snowing. What's your plans?
Mama Bear

I am going to finish all my Christmas everything - send Christmas cards (wow! I am late on that one!), finish my cookies and send them, Christmas grab bag gift.  I'm also cleaning my house from top to bottom.  Since I've been baking every night - my house hasn't had any cleaning done to it so it awful.

Aww - first I like the whole papa/mama bear thing!
I am working today @ noon & @ 5 tomorrow & digging down really deep to find a positive place to be while being there - it is hard anymore w/ the bs that goes on around there.
On a lighter note my step son Dalton is coming home - moving home - Jeff is on his way to Dallas right now to pick him up from school @ 12:30 & bring him home.
I do have Sunday off - that I am looking forward to!

Sister - did you guys read the Bernstein Bears?  Those were my favorite books as a kid - I thought we gave our massive collection to yall.  I'm not focused on being productive today!

Yes I have them - have read a lot of them to the kids - over & over - they are great books!
Love you guys - I am heading out to my favorite screwed up place!

I got my package - thanks mom!  Can I open it?  :)

You can open the card but not the package. Glad you got it.

I like the "from the kitchen of" - they look like they are from the 80s!

I thought you would like those, wish you could open your package but you can't.

It's ok - today is Secret Santa so I get a present today.  And Christina got me a snow man that grows (I'll send the final product). What are you doin today mama bear?

Rolled all my coins and taking them to the bank for cash right now. Jim cut the dead part of the ugly tree down yesterday so I am going to clean all the little branches up, split some firewood and go to library.

I know what it is.... nanananana!

I was waiting for that response!

LOL... you know me too well!
You know she is going to open it even tho you told her not to. I would! Then I wouldnt tell you anything. On Christmas morning, I would call you all excited about what I got and you would never know that I had already opened it.

The girl next to me told me to do that – but I didn’t open it, I just opened the card!
My secret santa isn’t here today so I didn’t get my secret santa gift….

Hahaha!

All my love,
LT

I am so (from Xmas)

I've been so behind but I'm catching up this week ladies!!!!  This one is from 12-16-09.

Remember:
Mom is red because she is full of love.
Sister is purple because she is royality.
I am blue because I like the color blue.
Hedder is green because it's what is left and readable.  :)

Depressed!!!! This has to be the cheapest christmas I have ever experienced! I decided not to put up a tree, but put out a few of the traditional decorations as well as the garage sell stuff I got this summer, well that was ok, fun seeing all the old stuff. Then I decided I would use the area you see in the pic as to where I would put presents so I put them there and it is so sad! I only have Dolton and Steve to buy for. I sure hope next year will be better.

Awe... I think it looks really good. Our Christmas is gonna be super slim this year too. It is stressful and depressing. We will get past it and everything will be fine. Keep ur head up.

But for me personally I have something to say!  YOU hold your head up high!  I have gotten the most amazing gift from you this year - something money could never buy!  You are truly my mother in everyway now - You & I have become so much closer than ever before this year - I don't need gifts & my kids just love spending time with you.  So you stop it right now!!!!

I agree with Sister.  I am so much closer with you guys now than I ever was and understand why things are the way they are.  I get excited when I see a little pop up that an email is from one of you - and I stop what I'm doing to read it (even though, it makes me way less efficient some days...)  I am so glad we are all close and it's one of my greatest joys in my life!!!

See! You have two great daughters that love you very much. Who needs material items. You have what so many people long for.

I just buried Elvis. Found him floating face down in the pond.

OH mother!  Do you want me to call you?

No I am ok now! Already had my cry and made a cross so I am ok. I read your other message and that made me cry more than Elvis. I feel the same way you do, but you guys are MY babies and you know how you felt when you was stressing about christmas before you decided not to move. I love you

You guys have really grown up and really the greasest gift of all!

Awe... I am sorry Tilda.
I knew their emails were going to make you cry. :

Won't have to worry about him getting cold again will I?

LOL... no, He wont be getting cold anymore. But I am sure, that wont stop you from worrying about the others.

We are all going to stress - probably more now that we are adults.  But we have learned well and know that in the end it's each other that matter and as long as what that, then it'll turn out like it's supposed to.

I am hungry!

Get some food!

I love you guys!
I love the days I have off & we are all chatty!!!

I love it too! I think I am the luckest momma in the world!!!!!! Heather I know you have a mom but I care for you just like a daughter.

OK... Now you are making me cry..
I miss my mom more than anything in the world, but you make a great stand in.

I wish I had the day off and I could be chatty in my kitchen with baked cookies!!!!!!  I just wrote out my to do list of things I want to get done tonight (when I get home from work so around 6:30 - ugh!!!)
Christmas Cards
Reeses Peanut Butter Cup Cookies
GingerBread Men
Biscotti (if I have time)
Pick up bedroom
Sweep/mop kitchen (as my last batch bakes!)
Work on Vanessa & Sister, Inc. business plan (1/2 of the first section - THE BUSINESS - description, marketing and competition)
I just want to do it all!!

Well I just finished sewing a quilt together - now to do all the clip clip clipping!!!  If only I knew what happen to my scissors that are made for this!

I agree with Heather,..... I just woke up from a nap. Sure did feel good,(but I didn't get it all done)! I crack myself up.

Ummm do I guess what you are talking about - because something you said about your nature showers came to mind!
Yes gutter -

LOL! Tulsa woke up from her nap and called me to tell me that she loves my sense of humor.
She thought I was saying that Leslie's to do list was going to make me cry. Bahaha...
Tilda- we are at the Cox house. We shouldn't be staying long. I will call you when we leave.

That is so funny!!! After I took my nap my 1st email was from Les saying all the stuff she was going to do when she got home from work. My 2nd email was from Heather saying now she was going to cry. I thought she was talking about all the work Les had lined out was going to make her cry. I thought she was being a smart a___. So I chuckled and said what I did which I thought was perfect since I had been lazy and took a nap. Hope that makes sense. Get your mind out of the GUTTER!!!!!LOL

I got lost on ALLL that!

Read Heathers it makes sense

Tilda! Are you drunk!?

I read Heather's before I sent my email...  I feel like we all get these emails in random orders that aren't the same.

Call me

All of us?

No just you

Thank you Hedder - that's what it seems like to me too!  Maybe she'll run around town with no bra and panties!

LOL! 2 things are funny about this email.
1. Leslie called me Hedder.
2. Tulsa running around like her daughter does!
Bahahahahahahahahaha!

Yea I caught both of those too!

What the crap!!
I hate replying to emails on my phone. I didnt realize it spelled Tulsa and not Tilda!

LOL, whatever.

My emails come through weird -
1. who is Tulsa?
2. who is running around in bra & panties?

OMG I am so confused!!!
I thought is was the Bud Light - but I think it is you all!!!!!!
I finished my quilt - just has to run through washer & dryer now - & my finger is numb!
Heather - for you dear - nothing!  I won't charge you - you just have to pay for any material & brag to people where you got it!

Aw... Thanks Vanessa.
I will gladly pay for any cost there is involved in making it and I will also gladly pay you for your time. We will get together after the first of the year and try to get things started.

absolutely!
I don't expect you to pay me for my time though - this will be a good thing for me to blog about!  I can use this to help get me up & going again!

I must have missed something. I read where vanessa won't charge for doing something but I don't know what

Sorry...
It went from a Facebook comment into email again. She commented that she had finished her quilt. I asked her what she would charge me to take Justins old clothes and make me a quilt out of them. then the conversation went into email.

Oh that would be so cool! It is suppose to be really nice tomorrow, do you want to go for a hike in the woods? If you already have something planned that is ok. How are you doin? I made a perfect batch of no bake cookies!

I am OK... we will make it.
The only thing we have going on tomorrow is going to jerri's to get that wood split and loaded in the morning. After that, I got nothing going on.
I want some cookies!

Wow Vanessa! That looks really great! I love it.

I will help do the wood just let me know when you go.

All my love,
LT
